| How can the Cota Family describe there vacation at Casa del
Pescador?
It was AWESOME. From arriving at the airport--the
sign with our name from Gecko Car Rental, arrival at the house--everything was wonderful. Marilyn, even though we never met you, all the information you sent us by e-mail was great. We, as a family, cannot express the wonderful time we had. For my mother who is 84, this trip brought many wonderful memories because my Mom and Dad traveled a lot and Puerto Vallarta was one of their favorite places--from the Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor era. My wife enjoyed the privacy of having her own pool and being able to walk on the beach and pick shells. My son and I enjoyed the golf at El Tigre. Basically, we were in vegetation mode and it was so relaxing. Usually we come back from vacation and we are tired. We came back from Casa del Pescador relaxed and happy! We would like to come back when the whales have migrated into Banderas Bay--please let us know when that would be. We have not stop talking to our friends about our vacation. We have enjoyed our stay immensely. I painted two water colors of the beautiful views as we had wonderful clear days with beautiful warm sea breezes. The accommodation is well thought out and we appreciate the little “extras” of Boogie Boards and pool floats as well as the well stocked kitchen. The staff are top notch--the property manager, the gardeners, the pool man and the security guards are all so friendly! It makes us want to return many, many times and we plan to make reservations for another vacation here--after all, the physical accommodation may be duplicated, but the wonderful help we have received and sincere concern makes all the difference. What a great house!. I never want to leave--it’s so beautiful! We spent our days looking for seashells, running the beach, searching for and finding beach glass. Swimming in the pool was pure heaven! Great care, wonderful service at Gecko Car Rental. Denis is great! I don’t want to say goodbye to our holiday time. So I’ll say "I’ll be back".

As our wonderful week in your awesome casa comes to a close, I found myself wiping tears from my eyes as leaving here saddens me. We will definitely be back. What we will miss most--waking up and having coffee on the terrace as we watch the amazing view of the morning sun as it glistens on the ocean, drinking mucho margaritas in the Mexican sunshine and the nightly walks on the beach. We are leaving today after enjoying ourselves for an exceptional week. The home is so welcoming and so easy to live in and relax. The swimming pool is marvelous for young children--and grandparents. The weather is gorgeous! The property manager is truly a gift--arranging for a “Spiderman Man” piñata for Joey's 6th birthday and arranged a catered dinner on Thanksgiving--a Spanish feast! We truly appreciate it. Hope we can all come again--maybe for 2 weeks next time!

Thank you so much for the very best--and most interesting holiday! From Taco Night in La Cruz to the market in Bucerias, sunsets at Destiladeras, snorkeling in Punta de Mita and the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, it couldn't have been any better! Where do we start! Your home, the view, the culture and the people really completed our trip. We loved waking up every morning to the crashing waves, warm sunshine and the smell of the ocean. The people in the area were the most helpful, friendly and happy go lucky. They really made our trip enjoyable! The staff, especially the security guards, are so friendly and they made it their duty to give us their best smile every morning. They taught us some Spanish and we taught them some more English. Lastly, we would like to mention Denis and Adam at Gecko Car Rental were amazing with their suggestions on were to eat and places to see. Overall this trip was more than amazing and we could not have asked for more. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home. Marilyn was an enormous help and without her out trip would not have been possible. We can't thank her enough!

Thank you so much for opening your home to us! The house was lovely, the weather was perfect, and the service was wonderful! We have never taken this type of vacation before--renting a villa as opposed to staying in a hotel--and we were a little nervous about how everything would go. Let me tell you...it was terrific! One last family swim in the pool then we are reluctantly getting ready to end our vacation. This is such a great house with a wonderful view and it’s provided a wonderful place to spend a much needed vacation. We made so many memories--snorkeling at Los Arcos, fishing, renting a kayak from Punta de Mita, riding a “banana” at Yelapa, "Swimming with the Dolphins" at Dolphin Adventures and just hanging out around the pool. We enjoyed lots of great shrimp, guacamole, and pico de gallo to name just a few of the things we pigged out on over the past six days. Hidden Paradise was a favorite with its breathtaking view. We’ll miss the sound of the ocean waves and the chirping of the geckos when we return home to reality tomorrow. This was our 5th trip to the area and our best vacation ever. Many thanks to Marilyn who was wonderful and who truly made this a “vacation” for us. Thank you for opening your home to us “strangers from Los Angeles” as it is truly a comfy and welcoming home. We have treated it with the love and care we would our own. The guys went fishing and caught a few fish which we BBQ’d for dinner. We spent a morning in La Cruz and had dinner both Saturday and Sunday at Jorge’s Tacos--Awesome! Letty and Jesus cooked a dinner for us--such decadence and yummy food! What nice people they are. A true family week spent swimming and having fun with the kids. Casa del Pescador is a wonderful home! Thank you for letting us spend our 1st Anniversary here. Your home is in a great location, with so many things to do. We went into Puerto Vallarta several days, visited San Pancho, Sayulita, Punta Mita, Nuevo Vallarta and many spots in between. We hope to be back again and spend another week or longer. Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful home, it was all we had hoped for and more. We rented a car and put lots of miles on it exploring up the coast--the little towns to the north are great. We especially loved Don Pedro’s in Sayulita. While we ate a wonderful dinner we watched a dog surfing with his master--it was incredible. Also loved the Hidden Paradise restaurant down the beach. The boy who waited on us there said that at night he and his brother dive in the bay to get the lobsters. We can vouch for the fact that they are very fresh and delicious! Mucho Gracious! Where do we begin? From the planning stages of our vacation you have made this a very pleasant experience. The website, your recommendations and organization along with a few phone calls to Marilyn we felt confident about our trip. But then when we arrived! Breathtaking! Absolutely fantastic! We are a family that spent seven beautiful days together, exploring the beautiful area, meeting wonderful people and visiting the beaches you recommended. Our favorite--Sayulita...beautiful, quieter, sandy beach..... wonderful restaurant where you can rent tables and chairs and the best guacamole in the world. From bogie boarding to snorkeling--visit Oscar in Punta de Mita--he will take you to coves and places you would never get to! We only touched on our adventure here and as we understand from home, an April snowstorm awaits us, but somehow it is okay! WOW!! We did it all! Hair braiding, parasailing, shopping, buying, the beaches, the boggie boads! Collecting shells and stones and so much more! Thank you!! Carlos O'Briens--Good Lord! Wall to wall people-! We found the beautiful restaurants--sunsets at La Palapa, none better! Thank you! Thank you for opening your beautiful Paradise home to us and allowing us to take home some beautiful family memories. As we pack to leave our week in Paradise we wish to thank you for this time in your lovely home! Everything was fabulous! Your accommodations were excellent! We love the non-touristy vacation....The Mango Grill & Hector Lopez was one of our favorites. Catching a bus or a cab to Bucerias was a frequent trip too! Due to a temporary power outage from a lightening storm I am writing our "thank you" to you by candlelight. Our last day was spent at the beach in Punta Mita, one of our favorite destinations in our 15 years of coming to Puerto Vallarta. Truly enjoyed the solitude, pool, beach and comforts of home during our week stay at Casa del Pescador. Sad to say it ends tomorrow! Our pleasant stay in your lovely home only adds to our desire to buy and live here-- hopefully a dream we will fulfill soon. We have had a great week staying in your beautiful home--it is very comfortable. We enjoyed jumping in the pool several times a day to cool off. We explored the beach at low tide and out went to the beaches at Punta de Mita as well. Had a great time here this winter. Hope to see you in Victoria in the spring. Thanks again!
