Oceanfront with private pool, Casa del Pescador (House of the Fisherman) is a luxurious, yet casual vacation home resting serenely along the Bay of Banderas in the exclusive residential community of La Puntilla.  Casa del Pescador is Unit 5-A is this beautiful, gated and secure complex of 19 luxury homes located just 20 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport.  This privately owned home is situated between Bucerias and the small Mexican fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle on Mexico's Pacific Coast, and is the perfect place to unwind from the hectic lifestyle you left behind.

Casa del Pescador's three private bedrooms and three bathrooms comfortably accommodates six.  The master bedroom, living room, and dining room are all located on the ocean side of the house.  Large glass doors across the front of the Casa open onto the inviting patio, leading the eye to where the private pool blends seamlessly with the sparkling water of the bay beyond--the perfect place to start and end a day in paradise.

Furnished by the owners for vacation enjoyment, Casa del Pescador is equipped for maximum comfort and hospitality.  Mediterranean architectural style is evident in this 2,000 square foot home with it's high vaulted ceilings, cupolas and red tiled rooftops.  Dramatic open spaces, stained glass windows, exotic-wood doors and cabinets and sparkling white marble throughout deliver true elegance to this home.  With it's tasteful decor, Casa del Pescador is truly a magical place, one that you will remember long after you have returned home.
 

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, four burner gas stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and a vast collection of pots, pans and cooking utensils.  And of course, there is a blender for those frosty tropical drinks!  There is English language satellite TV in the living room with VCR and DVD player, CD player, and a breakfast area where you can enjoy a quiet meal, as well as a spacious dining room that opens onto the poolside patio, and a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer.

Because of its ideal location, Casa del Pescador is constantly bathed by gentle breezes which add a sensual pleasure to the warm sunny days and starlit nights around the pool and patio. With air conditioning and ceiling fans, as well as the ocean breezes to keep you cool, your comfort is guaranteed at Casa del Pescador.

The second bedroom with king sized bed opens onto the landscaped front garden and boasts an en-suite bathroom with full sized marble shower.  Wall to wall patio doors with full screens can be left open and the cross breeze through the Casa will guarantee you a restful sleep.

The third bedroom with queen bed also opens onto the landscaped front garden and has a separate marble bathroom with full sized shower.   As well, the third bedroom has wall to wall patio doors with full screens. A home office equipped with internet access (bring your laptop), phone and FAX is also located in the third bedroom, allowing you to keep in touch with family and business while you relax and enjoy all that Casa del Pescador has to offer.

You might choose to spend a lazy day at the pool while watching the sailboats at anchor in the harbour or relax with a good book and enjoy yourself on the comfortable patio, feel the breeze, watch the birds, and enjoy an ice cold margarita or your favourite drink.   Perhaps you'd like to stroll in the shade of the palm trees along the beachfront, listening to the rustle of the leaves and the tranquil lap of the waves, then step down to the sand for some beachcombing at the water's edge.

It is an easy 10 minute walk along the beach (15 minutes along the road) to the village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle (La Cruz) with the (now complete) 400 slip upscale Marina Riviera Nayarit where there are restaurants, shops and a fresh fish market.  The village of La Cruz has some VERY GOOD restaurants, some evening entertainment and some shopping.  The town of Bucerias is a 5 to 8 minute drive/taxi ride away for many more very good restaurants, shopping and services.  While we do recommend having a car during your stay at Casa del Pescador it is not absolutely necessary as there are taxis in the village of La Cruz and the bus service is excellent with buses running every 10 minutes or so from the top of the driveway.  For just a few pesos the bus will take you to all points in the Bay of Banderas. 

After a day relaxing around the pool or a visit to one of the many local points of interest, you might decide to either cook at home or wander over to one of the many good restaurants in La Cruz or Bucerias.  Perhaps the 35 minute drive into downtown "Vallarta" and an evening stroll along the malecón is in order.

A security guard is at the gated entrance 24 hours a day, and a security patrolman is on the beach in the evenings and throughout the night.  Our English/Spanish speaking Property Manager will greet you early in your stay to answer any questions you might have.  A handbook in the house details pool, lawn, and maid service, and we provide a list of things to do as well as a list of some of our favourite restaurants, along with local maps. 

Casa del Pescador is wheelchair and handicapped accessible and as a non-smoking home, we invite you to smoke outside or on the patio only, please.

If you can pull yourself away from this exquisite oceanfront home, there are many activities for both daytime and night time lovers in La Cruz, Bucerias and downtown Puerto Vallarta.  La Cruz and Bucerias have a number of great restaurants, souvenir shops, and small grocery stores which are within walking distance of the house (10-30 minutes).   xxx

We can help you arrange for a fishing, snorkeling or sightseeing trip around the Bay of Banderas.  For a nominal fee plus the cost of the food, we can help you arrange for a local couple to come in to prepare a special meal for you.  You do nothing but sit back, relax, and enjoy!  We can also help you arrange for a masseuse to come to the house for onsite massages and/or facials.  A perfect way to relax for a VERY reasonable fee!
